Winning Photo in the M.I.L.K Competition

The photos of the winners in the M.I.L.K. (Moments if Intimacy, Laughter and Kinship) competition have just been published online. Please check them out under www.freshmilkphotos.com. One of my images is among the 150 winners chosen to be published in a book in fall 2009.

The photo was taken in Toledo, Spain. The town celebrates the “Corpus Christi” religious festival once a year involving 17th century tapestries being exhibited on the Cathedral façade. Waiting for the procession to start, locals gather along the cathedral wall, lost in their own thoughts. The juxtaposition to the intense human interactions depicted on the tapestries had caught my eye.”
